STATEMENT ON THE ADOPTION BY GAY COUPLES
the undersigned, strongly deplore evil or violent actions against homosexuals. Such abuses offend human dignity and harm the healthy coexistence, and its severity should be condemned wherever it occurs.
However, we can not remain passive when they threaten fundamental values \u200b\u200bsuch as family, marriage and child protection, let alone the possibility that the Constitutional Court makes changes to the policy letter, when they surely bring consequences harmful to the social fabric.
In this sense, we are concerned that the Constitutional Court favorably the eventual possibility of allowing the adoption of children by same-sex couples , without measuring the irreversible effects that may occur in society. We can not ignore that legal rules are for educational and structuring of the life of man in society, therefore you can not remove the natural order and good morals.
The adoption by homosexuals does not respond to the fundamental values \u200b\u200bof our society, or natural meaning plays in the tasks for which marriage and family deserve specific recognition and qualified. Experience has shown that lack of sexual bipolarity creates obstacles to normal development of children who would be integrated into these unions, since they lack the maternal or paternal dimension in the process of personal maturation [1].
In another time and on such matters, the Constitutional Court of Colombia, in Case C-814/01 noted that the adoption "is, today, an institution designed to benefit the adopted child and for your protection. The adoption but allows people who are not fathers or mothers naturally come to be under a civil relationship, enabling them to exercise various rights as forming a family, for the free development of personality, etc.., does not pursue this goal a priority, but to protect the child in the way that best suits their interest, it applied Article 44 of the Charter " so that the prevailing interests of the child, in accordance with the UN International Convention on the Rights of the Child, that the best interests which in any case we must protect the infant, the most weak and defenseless.

Yes there is a right of orphans to receive shelter and protection of society and be brought up and educated in the bosom of a family, according to their interests. Adoption is not a right of the adoptive parents, but a joint responsibility and in any case, a privilege. Therefore, the current system which limits adoption to heterosexual people, does not deprive homosexuals of any right [3]. Do not attribute the social and legal status of adoption of lifestyles that are not and can be conceptualized adoptions naturally not opposed to justice, but on the contrary, requires it.
invite the Court to that in line with its mission of safeguarding the constitutional system to serve the nation, and taking into account that it has already ruled against the subject matter [C-814/01] , hold the legal structure of the constituent family left in 1991 embodied in the Constitution.
hope that the company is aware of these and other possible initiatives affecting the natural order of life, marriage and family . It is a democratic duty to demand justice for the sake of protecting these values \u200b\u200bthat form the backbone of the nation and without which it is possible to build a healthy and peaceful society.
